Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Spenzo. Please read them — by creating an account or using Spenzo, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use Spenzo

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your country) and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Spenzo on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. What Spenzo is

Spenzo is a personal-finance tool that helps you budget, track spending, set savings goals, scan receipts, and get plain-language money insights, with optional bank connections. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for keeping your login secure. Do not share your credentials. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. You can review and sign out your active devices in Settings.

4. Not financial advice

Spenzo’s insights, recommendations and AI Coach responses are informational only and are not professional financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Figures such as “safe to spend” are estimates based on the data you provide. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

5. Free trial, subscriptions and billing

New accounts include a free trial of Premium features — no card is required to explore. After the trial, features such as Analytics, Goals, the AI Coach, and receipt/voice logging require a Premium subscription.

Premium is billed monthly in your local currency (about €10 / $10 / £10 by region) and renews automatically until you cancel. Web payments are processed by Stripe; on iOS, purchases are made through Apple’s in-app purchase and are also governed by Apple’s terms — manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings.

You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled in line with applicable law and, for iOS purchases, Apple’s refund policy.

6. Bank connections

If you connect a bank, you authorise our open-banking provider (Tink) to share your transaction data with Spenzo on a read-only basis. Spenzo cannot move money and never sees your bank login. You can disconnect at any time. Bank connections are available only in supported regions.

7. Acceptable use

When using Spenzo, you agree not to:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
  • attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
  • probe, attack, overload, or disrupt the service or its security;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service except as allowed by law;
  • resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission.

8. Intellectual property

Spenzo, its software, design and brand are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. The financial data you enter remains yours — these Terms do not give us ownership of it.

9. Third-party services

Spenzo relies on third parties (such as Stripe, Apple, Tink, and our AI and email providers) to deliver certain features. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s own terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Spenzo reliable but provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may add, change or remove features, and may carry out maintenance that temporarily interrupts the service.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spenzo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or abuse the service. On termination, your right to use Spenzo ends, and we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction — except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you additional rights or a different venue.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continuing to use Spenzo after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
